Frequently Asked Questions
What is Roxmark’s business strategy?
Roxmark’s strategy is to build sustainably profitable gold and molybdenum mining operations by systematically exploring and developing our properties, both unilaterally and through joint ventures like the one with Premier Gold in the Geraldton Camp.
What role does molybdenum play in Roxmark’s future?
We believe our molybdenum property represents a potentially important adjunct to gold mining operations and that it can be a significant additional profit stream for the Company in the future.
Can the Roxmark mill process both gold and molybdenum?
Yes, the upgraded Roxmark mill processed gold in 2005 and moly in 2006. The changeover from gold to moly throughput at the mill can be achieved quickly.
How was Roxmark able to acquire assets on such favourable terms?
Three factors were involved: faith, patience and timing. We have always believed in the untapped potential of the Geraldton-Beardmore area and have maintained our focus there. We were able to step in and selectively acquire assets—mines, infrastructure and equipment—at favourable prices when gold prices were at a low ebb and the attention of many gold mining companies was elsewhere in the world.
Why are you optimistic about gold potential on Roxmark properties?
We are optimistic because our properties include formerly producing mines (mines that closed due to a $35 gold price, not a lack of resources). Based on preliminary results of our digitizing of historical data, we believe we can extend development on these properties. In addition, broader geologic trends indicate the potential for additional significant discoveries. We also believe economic and political conditions will lead to continued strong gold markets. It is important to note that Premier Gold, a seasoned gold operator, shares our optimism and has demonstrated this in the most fundamental way: by committing dollars, manpower and equipment.
What are your development plans for 2008?
Our prime objectives are to advance the re-opening of the Northern Empire Mine, and to continue to further delineate our gold and molybdenum resources. We are also doing all we can to advance programs conducted by Premier Gold as operator in the Geraldton Camp.
Where are Roxmark shares listed?
Roxmark shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange Venture Exchange (TSXV) under the symbol RMK, as well as on the Pink Sheets in the U.S.
Do you plan to raise any additional money in the near future?
While we intend to self-finance as much as possible, we will need to raise additional money to fully develop our gold and molybdenum properties. In doing this, we will continue to be conscious of the need to balance availability of capital against dilution of our existing shareholders’ equity.
